Bandipur National Park, established in 1974, which is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, has been marked as a world heritage site by UNESCO, and is a reserve under Project Tiger. It is home to a number of rare tree, bird, mammal and reptile species. It was once used as a private hunting reserve by the Maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore. The resorts also organize night camps, safaris and other group activities ensuring that their guests are entertained.

Getting to Bandipur
Himvad Gopalswami Betta: A breathtaking view waits at the Himvad Gopalswami Betta, one of the highest points in the Bandipur national park. The entrance fee depends on the type of vehicle, and visitors are allowed between 8.30am to 4pm, for an hour and a half. Be sure not to carry any plastic into this no plastic zone!
 
Sri Male Mahadeshwara Temple:
A temple located atop a hill, it is devoted to Lord Shiva. Visitors are allowed from 5.30am, and the day includes various poojas at staggered times.

Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple: The Annual Car festival of the deity held during "Vaishakha" in the month of April, is famous in the region and attracts thousands of pilgrims from far and wide.  The local tribes present a large pair of leather slippers measuring 1-foot (0.30 m) and 9 inches, to the Ranganathaswamy once in two years to appease the God. 
Elephant & Jeep Safari: A trip to a wildlife reserve is incomplete without a safari! Prices start at Rs.300, trip timings are 6am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm.

Nature Walks: Guided Nature walks through the surrounding forests, provided by Jungle Lodges are a great way to connect with nature.
Pugmarks: A multicuisine restaurant at the entrance of the jungle lodge, Pugmarks offers great food.

Serai Bandipur: The serai offers a wide range of vegetarian and non vegetarian food.
The resorts themselves will have small souvenir shops, sporting products featuring the tiger.
