Sariska Tiger Reserve: A well known sanctuary which was declared a reserve in 1955 and earned the status of a Project Tiger reserve on 1978. This is the first reserve in India to have successfully relocated Bengal Tigers in the country.
Jaisamand Lake : One of the most beautiful lakes located in Rajasthan. The lake is well visited by travellers and is known to have been built by the King of Alwar.
Government Museum: Located at the city palace complex , the museum is known to house many antiques and artifacts along with the manuscripts from the period of the Alwar Kings. There are also plenty of other articles which detail the history of Rajasthan.
Alwar is also known to be home to some of Rajasthan's most famous temples, some of which include the Jagannath Temple and the Karni Mata Temple.
Inderlok Restaurant: One of the well known restaurants in Alwar which is famous for it's peaceful ambiance . It is a well known vegetarian restaurant with some amazing dishes particularly made along the traditional Rajasthani styles.
Angeethi: One of the most popular restaurants which is also one of the most expensive in Alwar that serves some of the most amazing delicacies from North-Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines. Runs a packed house through the year.
Thali House: A well known family restaurant that has a lively atmosphere through the day, heavily visited by families , couples as well as travelers. Known to serve some of the most delightful South-Indian delicacies with a good range of Thalis to choose from.

Climate: The climate in Alwar is known to be temperate through the year courtesy it's elevation. Summers are known to be dry but not too hot except during the month of May where temperatures are known to touch 41 degree Celsius while winters are known to get really cold with temperatures getting close to the freezing point. The region is known to have a very short monsoon with low levels of precipitation.
